MEET CATHERINE
Hello! I am Cat Bartlett (she/her), a citizen of the Sicangu Lakota Oyate (Rosebud Sioux Tribe). I hold a B.S. in Public Policy with a concentration in Management from Indiana University. I am a Mitchell Hamline School of Law 2028 J.D. Candidate. I am very passionate about helping create a future where Indigenous Nations thrive in their communities and enhance their sovereignty.
Before law school, I worked in community economic development at a consulting firm that served Tribal Nations. This position boosted my passion for strategic planning and uplifting Indigenous communities in novel and innovative ways. This position also showed me the importance of legal education and how the legal system impacts our unique communities.
In my personal time (when I can get it), I try my best to stay connected to my culture. I enjoy crafting and art projects such as leatherworking, sewing, painting, and drawing. I also like running outside and dancing (even when Iām not good at it!).
