Brian Garcia is a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. Brian holds a Bachelor in Global Studies with a concentration in Political Entrepreneurship and a Master of Legal Studies from Arizona State University. Through his programs, Brian has worked and studied in London, Paris, Milan, and Cuba.
Brian is a Juris Doctor student at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He serves as a Child Advocate for the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights Center. In addition, Brian is a Fellow with the Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership program for statewide leadership. He also served as an AVID facilitator with the Tempe Union High School District.
Before starting law school, Brian was the Outreach Coordinator for Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema. He mentored students through Inspire Arizona, a nonprofit for youth civic engagement. In addition, Brian served as the Human Rights Campaign – AZ Political Co-chair.
Currently, Brian serves as a governing board member for the Tempe Union High School District #213. He represents 160,000 voters with 13,000+ students across Tempe, Ahwatukee, Guadalupe, S. Phoenix, W. Chandler, and the Gila River Indian Community.
Brian is passionate about ensuring all walks of life have a seat at the table.
